Position Overview We are looking for our next Student Council Advisor to support, empower, and facilitate experiences for Gideon Pond students in organizing school‑wide activities. This role will help students develop leadership skills through planning and participating in events, promoting school spirit, and fostering a positive school culture. Qualifications Apply the tools of CPPS when developing schoolwide activities Co‑create the student activities aligned with the purpose with other Elementary Student Activity leaders in the district Ensure meetings and gatherings that are inclusive of the students ability to participate in the activity Organize a group of students that is similar to student body population Ensure student participation in the activity correlates with the demographics of the school building Engage in activities in and outside of the school day Share and celebrate the student activity throughout the year Share activity plans for the school year to be approved by the site principal Communicate activity progress and success, areas of needed support throughout the year Knowledge of State, Federal, and ISD 191 School Board Policies regarding student conduct and appropriate disciplinary action. Evidence of and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with coworkers, parents, community members, supervisor, and students. Ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly. Strong work ethic and dedication to further the benefits of student participation in co‑curricular activities. Ability to perform essential job functions.
