Our rapidly growing surgical ophthalmology practice with three locations and a wholly-owned ASC in Tarrant County is seeking an experienced Physician Liaison! We are a family-owned practice and have been serving the Tarrant County community for more than 40 years. With 8 providers and more than 60 full-time staff, we are a robust and strongly entrenched practice looking to add another critical piece to our growing team.

Primary Role:

As our Physician Liaison, the primary functions are: Analyzes referral patterns and trends in local markets and creates a strategic marketing plan to develop new referral sources, develop incremental increases from existing referral sources, maintain plan and enhance relationships with loyal referrers, reestablish referrals from dormant referral sources.

Activities may include:

    • Visits referring optometric/physician offices (minimum 30 office visits per week to decision makers) to promote Brooks Eye Associates and educate referring physicians and their office staff on key practice differentiators, technologies, and services.
    • Become expert in the legalities and nuances of billing, patient flow, medical-legal issues, and other CMS requirements related to ophthalmic/optometric patient co-management.
    • Delivers practice marketing materials such as referral pads, brochures, and other relevant literature to referring offices, as well as soliciting feedback on practice performance, service levels, and value/usefulness of materials delivered.
    • Assists with development and organization of educational/training meetings, to include CME courses, office tours for staff or physicians.
    • Plans and schedules physician-to-physician interactions. Identifies opportunities for physician speaking engagements and supports other PR-type activities (as appropriate). Accompanies and introduces new physicians to the referral community and at community events.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Clinical, Health or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience with healthcare service or pharmaceutical sales - building strong relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and databases (e.g., Business Objects)
  • Proficiency with a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform such as SalesForce, Insightly, or other similar platform
  • Proven ability to be successful with a consultative selling model
  • Ability to understand business intelligence reporting and impact of growth initiatives on practice’s financial viability
  • Proven ability to prioritize opportunities and convert it into a successful strategy for developing and maintaining existing business
  • Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills
