Overview Join to apply for the Pest Control Technician role at Ecolab Life Sciences . $3000 Sign On Bonus available for this role! As a Pest Control Technician , you will work with a variety of customers in the hospitality industry and other commercial businesses. You will provide quality services and identify solutions to pest problems to help protect our customers’ brands and support their success. A 5-week comprehensive PAID TRAINING program is designed to provide the tools and resources for you to be one of the best in your field – no prior experience required! Once in an established route, this role offers flexible scheduling and ownership of the customer accounts you service. During training, you will travel to Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota for 1 of the 5 weeks. Travel is arranged and paid for by Ecolab and typically occurs in week 3; the remaining weeks are in-field training. Responsibilities Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers and partner with them on best practices to identify and solve pest elimination needs. Maintain expertise in Ecolab’s product/service offerings and industry conditions to enhance service and sales of pest prevention/elimination solutions. Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issues. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Two years of work or military experience. Current and valid Driver's License. Ability to work overnight shifts as needed. Willingness to be on call during off-work hours and weekends as necessary. Ability to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing per state/local law. Must be 18 years or older; background check and drug testing required for offers; immigration sponsorship not available. Physical Demands Ability to wear and use a respirator. Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds chest high. Work in varied conditions, including confined spaces, damp/dusty locations, ladders, and extreme temperatures. Essential duties include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, using hands, balancing, walking, standing, talking and hearing. Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service experience. Ability to sell value-added products to existing customers. Previous pest elimination industry or route experience preferred.
