Excavator Operator needed in our Sarasota, FL location. The ideal candidate must be proficient in excavator operation with a focus on safety and attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Operate excavators proficiently as a Heavy Equipment Operator. • Carry out assigned tasks from management while prioritizing safety in all operations. • Perform daily inspections on excavators and other heavy machinery to ensure they are in optimal working condition. • Work with other areas, such as Maintenance, to ensure the equipment is properly kept. • Be adaptable to working in extreme weather conditions and at various sites throughout Sarasota, FL. • Wear all PPE. • Be a team player. • All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Must be available to work a 10-hour shift from Monday to Friday and be open to possible weekend shifts if needed. • The ideal candidate should possess 2 years or more of hands-on experience operating excavators. • Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, give directions, and other business interactions. • Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. • Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying sizes with or without amplification. • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools. • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg. • Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg. • Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel. • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time, delivering information. • Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements. Compensation: $20 - $23 hourly
