Job Description

The Concrete Mason will primarily be responsible for constructing and repairing structures using materials such as brick, stone, and concrete. The role requires knowledge and experience with new commercial construction bricklaying, as well as the ability to read blueprints and plans.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing materials.
• Mixing and applying mortar.
• Laying and setting masonry units like bricks and blocks.
• Repairing existing structures.
• Ensuring proper alignment and levels.
• Maintaining quality control on the project.

Essential Skills

• Experience with concrete and brick laying.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools.
• Experience with masonry and stone masonry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
• Experience cutting concrete and laying out bricks following blueprints.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a 40-hour workweek. There may be occasional work on Saturdays as needed. The position offers the chance to work on a significant project with a non-union construction company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fairfield, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
